During the July 1st holiday weekend over 10,000 people join together for the annual Canada Day celebrations at Science North. Festivities start at noon. A $3.00 button gives visitors access to a variety of activities including admission to the Inco Cavern. A wide variety of vendors and artists display their wares and talents throughout the Science Centre grounds during the entire day.

Starting from 12:15 to 4:15 pm the main stage fills with plenty of family entertainment showcasing varying types of musical performances; from 7:00 till 10:30 pm pop and rock groups round out the evening with music always sure to keep the crowds in a festive mood. All outdoor performances are free to the public.

Inside Science North visitors can take advantage of exciting exhibits and the Virtual Voyage Adventure Rides. The Imax Theatre and Virtual Voyages Adventure Rides are open all day until 9:00 pm.

The end of every Canada Day celebration culminates with a spectacular fireworks display over Ramsey Lake at 10:30 pm. The colorful pyrotechnics show is synchronized to music.

The Sudbury Transit Service offers a shuttle service from the South End and downtown every 30 minutes from 11:45 am until midnight.
